Our Story

Lake Charles Custom Cabinet Pros grew out of a straightforward conviction: that custom cabinetry should be built by people who understand the community they are building it in. As a family-owned operation, we started doing this work more than 25 years ago, long before the post-storm rebuilding wave brought a flood of contractors into southwest Louisiana. We were here before, and we have remained here through the hard seasons this region has weathered.

The Lake Charles area has always presented specific challenges for interior woodworking. The humidity off the Calcasieu River and the lake itself, the threat of tropical weather from June through November, and the low-lying topography of much of Calcasieu Parish all mean that cabinetry has to be thought through carefully — not just designed to look good on installation day, but built to hold its integrity over years of heat, moisture, and the occasional flooding event. Our family learned this through decades of hands-on work in local homes and businesses, and that accumulated knowledge shapes everything from the materials we recommend to the way we construct and seal our cabinets.

After hurricanes Laura and Delta tore through the region in 2020, we were part of the long rebuilding effort that followed. We worked with homeowners who had lost kitchens, bathrooms, and years of accumulated household investment in a matter of hours.
